Generally, eye exams are scheduled annually or semi-annually. Your eye needs may also vary according to your age group:
Children (up to 19 years)
People of this age group should have an eye exam every year.
Adults (19 - 65 years)
For adults, an eye exam every 1-2 years is recommended to ensure eye health and check for any changes in refractive power.
Seniors (over 65 years)
People of this age bracket have a higher risk of developing serious eye conditions. So, they should get their eyes examined every year to avoid, treat, or correct any issues.
People with diabetes
Patients with diabetes should get their eyes examined at least every year or consult with a professional eye doctor for recommended frequency.
