PHILIP C RIPLEY

R.O R.C.LP

I started in the optical industry in Lethbridge in 1978, beginning my career with Imperial Optical manufacturing lenses. In 1982, I moved to Expert Edging and expanded my optical manufacturing knowledge. Several years later, I was recruited by Tech Cite, one of Alberta’s largest lens manufacturing labs. Several years later, I moved into the retail aspect, obtaining my certification in eyeglass dispensing, contact lens fitting and eye testing. I also worked in the refractive surgery industry. Currently, I enjoy being the owner and operator of Eyewear Experts and working with my great staff!

LISA MCAULEY-GIGLIOTTI

Registered Optician

I began my Optical career in 1994. In my optical career I’ve worked at different opticals as a licensed optician from Alberta to Nova Scotia. Settling back in Alberta, I was at Sears optical for several years and am so happy to find a close family group to join here at Eyewear Experts.

AMANDA SLAGHT

Registered Optician

I started in the optical industry in early 2009, beginning my career with Sears optical working as a part-time sales associate. Taking an interest in optics I decided to expand my knowledge by entering into my Optical Sciences diploma through NAIT. Completing the course in June 2011, I became a licensed registered Optician. With the closure of Sears, I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to have continued my career with such an amazing, family-orientated group of experienced people. It is refreshing to be a part of a team that genuinely cares about its staff and customers’ needs.

MELISSA STONE

Admin & Optical Assistant

I’m an ophthalmic assistant here at Eyewear Experts. I’ve been in the industry since 2015, and have a wide variety of skills from administrative to pretesting and working with patients. In my free time, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family. The best part about my job is being a part of such a great team.

KAYLEIGH WHITESIDE

Registered Optician/Sales Manager

I’ve been in this amazing industry since 2009. I’ve started working in the lab, then went out helping patients and got hooked. In my many years of practice I worked beside, the best opticians, optometrist and frame consultants. It was then in 2016 I decided to take my schooling with NAIT and even ended up in the honor role. I also enjoy spending time with family, friends, having fun in life.

ANGIE EHRLER

Optical Assistant

I started my interests with my prior 2 years’ experience doing pre-testing in the ophthalmology field. For the last year, I have also been doing the pre-tests with our patients at Eyewear Experts. I also enjoy helping customers select frames and lenses that suit their own personal look and needs.
I love being a part of the Eyewear Experts family.

NICHOLAS GIGLIOTTI

Registered Optician

I started in the Optical industry in August 2015 as a recommendation from my inspiration, my mother Lisa. I started my optician schooling as soon as I started in the business and achieved honors through both years. I am also a self-taught Graphic Designer who’s been doing Graphic Design since 2011. I’m happy to be working with my friends and family here at Eyewear Experts!

COLETTE VIZCARRA

I was first introduced to the wonderful world of optics in 2011, when I started as an entry level frame consultant. Soon after I enrolled into the Opticians's course in NAIT, excelling in the program and receiving honors each semester. I enjoy helping customers find glasses that look great and fulfill their vision needs. I joined Eyewear Experts mid 2021 and love working alongside the amazing group of people here.
